The Alamosa County Chamber of Commerce made the following statement on their website:
We want to ensure all businesses and organizations are aware of the current CDOT Draft Access Control Plan for the Alamosa US160/US285 corridor , and have an opportunity to submit feedback.
Fortunately, they are still very early in this process. Additional meetings are scheduled for 2026 and we will include info here, in our newsletter, and on our Facebook page once we have final details.
The Alamosa County Chamber of Commerce has drafted a response letter reflecting concerns and the need for more dialogue and outreach, and if any businesses or organizations would like to also sign on to the letter, please fill out the form below (alamosachamber.com/advocacy).
We also recognize the map CDOT provided has limitations and is difficult to read- we are happy to help answer questions and to connect with other who can assist as well. We have been in touch with CDOT and they are intending to release a “one-page” info sheet that we will share as soon as it’s available.
