    Colorado Springs Seeks Public Input on Housing and Community Development Funding

    The City of Colorado Springs Housing and Homelessness Response Department invites residents, service providers, advocates, and stakeholders to participate in a public hearing on the draft 2026 Annual Action Plan, which guides how federal housing and community development funds are invested to support low- and moderate-income residents.

    The public hearing will be held Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the City Administration Building (30 S. Nevada Ave., Room 102), with options to attend in person, online, or by phone.

    The Annual Action Plan outlines proposed priorities, programs, and funding allocations for the upcoming program year, focusing on affordable housing, homelessness response and prevention, neighborhood improvements, and support for community-based organizations. Public input plays a critical role in ensuring these investments reflect community needs and lived experiences.

    The draft 2026 Annual Action Plan is part of the City’s broader federal planning framework and identifies how resources from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development will be used to advance housing stability and community vitality. Funding sources include the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) program.
