Colorado Springs City Auditorium Renovation Moves Toward Reopening by End of 2026

By Jeanne Davant on July 7, 2026 Business Insights

By the end of this year, the Colorado Springs City Auditorium could be ready to resume hosting musical performances and sporting events.

Though there’s not much visible evidence of progress in the building’s restoration, a lot is going on behind the scenes, says concert promoter Jesse Morreale, founder of Denver-based AVA Presents. In June 2025, Morreale and the City of Colorado Springs signed a lease agreement for operation and maintenance of the auditorium, which had been closed for two years. The agreement affords Morreale the opportunity to offset some of the rent by investing in repairs, renovations and upgrades to the 103-year-old building.
