$475M Swire Coca-Cola Expansion Brings Major Manufacturing Hub to Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs has been selected as the future home of a major new manufacturing hub for Swire Coca-Cola, USA. The company announced plans for a $475 million capital investment in Southeast Colorado Springs, a move expected to generate 170 net new jobs and significantly boost the region’s economic footprint.

The new 620,000-square-foot bottling facility, to be built at Peak Innovation Park, will consolidate and modernize the company’s production operations. Swire plans to break ground in 2026, replacing its current 90-year-old Denver plant with a state-of-the-art site that will pursue LEED Gold certification. Once operational, the facility will produce more than 230 beverage options across 60+ brands, including sparkling soft drinks, waters, teas, juice drinks, and sports beverages.

The project’s construction phase is expected to support approximately 1,190 jobs, generating an estimated $103 million in direct labor income for workers and families in El Paso County. When the plant opens, its workforce will include production, maintenance, quality, logistics, and management roles — with each onsite job projected to support two additional jobs in the wider regional economy.

Headquartered in Draper, Utah, Swire Coca-Cola, USA manufactures, distributes, and sells Coca-Cola and other beverage brands in 13 states across the American West. In Colorado, the company employs 1,300 people currently. Swire Coca-Cola earns $3 billion in revenue and employs more than 8,000 associates.

“Colorado Springs has been a great partner for our existing distribution facility where we employ 170 people. The city offers a highly skilled workforce and a strong sense of community — all of which make it an ideal location for this strategic investment,” says Bryan Sink, Senior Vice President, Supply Chain at Swire Coca-Cola, USA. “This investment represents our long-term commitment to the region, supporting local jobs, enhancing our production capabilities and ensuring we continue manufacturing our large portfolio of beverage brands right here in Colorado.”

Swire Coca-Cola, USA is part of JS&S (Beverages) Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of John Swire & Sons Limited. For more information visit https://www.swirecc.com.
