Mobolade’s Economic Playbook: Stewardship, Safety and Small Business First

    0
By Theresa Woods on November 4, 2025 Business Insights, Featured

Colorado Springs Mayor Yemi Mobolade began his second State of the City address by noting the city’s revenue growth has flattened since 2023, largely due to a decline in sales tax revenue. This year’s speech focused on the positive accomplishments of the first half of his term, but he elaborated on his plans for businesses growth and the local economy in an interview with The Digest.

Some specific tactics he will take to bolster Colorado Springs’ economy and local businesses are: expanding the Keep It Clean and Safe Program, attracting new businesses to the city, increasing the use of Permit Partner, moving current redevelopment projects forward and building relationships within the federal government.
