Protesting farm water transfers and major annexations, Lower Arkansas Valley farmers and others gathered in May at Colorado Springs government offices.

Voters in Colorado Springs overwhelmingly voted against a bid to have the city’s boundaries extended through the potential annexation of the Karman Line project near Schriever Space Force Base.

The unofficial results on Tuesday, June 17, show that 61,900 votes were cast against the annexation, equaling 81% of the total 75,778 ballots cast in the special election.
