COS Airport Summer Travel Report – Update on Nonstop Routes

    0
By scbfd_admin on July 22, 2024 Business Insights, landscape

The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is off to a strong start for the summer travel season. The airport welcomed 216,775 total passengers for May, which is 14 percent more than in May last year. Of those passengers, 108,915 boarded a plane out of COS, representing a 14.8 percent increase compared to the same time in 2023.

“This summer is projected to be strong with six percent more seats in the market from June through August than last summer,” said Greg Phillips, Director of Aviation for COS. “We’ve not only welcomed back seasonal air service but also introduced a new nonstop route to Baltimore/Washington (BWI) with Southwest Airlines. This new route is a result of extensive efforts, and we are extremely excited about it.”
