Vanguard Skin Specialists, a Southern Colorado dermatology and plastic surgery practice announced the opening of its eighth office located at 6215 Corporate Drive, 80919.
The new location will offer dermatology, Mohs surgery, plastic surgery, and dermatopathology. The multi-specialty collaboration allows the prompt diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of skin cancers. Following removal of the skin cancer, patients may have surgical reconstruction by a plastic surgeon on the same day in the same office. Vanguard will also be offering routine skin checks and treating a broad scope of dermatology conditions such as acne, eczema, and rashes.
Founded in 2009 by Dr. Vinh Chung and Leisle Chung, Vanguard has grown from a solo practice to a multi-specialty clinic with more than 20 medical providers across eight offices from Castle Rock to Pueblo. This is Vanguard’s fourth location in Colorado Springs. In 2024, Vanguard is celebrating its 15-year anniversary.

“We believe in early diagnosis, because it leads to early treatment of skin cancer with the highest cure rate,” states Vinh Chung, a fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon. “In order to see patients promptly we must be accessible. Since the pandemic, we have doubled in size in order to meet the demands of our community. Being the only dermatology providers in this part of town, we are eager to serve central and westside residents.”
One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. Due to the intense sunshine and high elevations, Colorado has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the U.S. Melanoma is potentially life threatening, but curable if caught early. (source HERE)
